Tractor Ted Launches on Amazon Prime

Everyone’s favourite little green tractor, Tractor Ted, is set to launch on Amazon Prime this Thursday 20th August.

Brainchild of childhood friends Alexandra Heard and farmer, David Horler, Tractor Ted came to life after Alexandra noticed how fascinated her three small children were by farm machines working in the fields.

The idea took hold and 2002 saw the launch of the first video showcasing real life farming and farm machinery at work aimed specifically at young children and the pre-school market.

Eighteen years on and with many hundreds of thousands of films and books being sold both in the UK and across the world, Tractor Ted is now launching on Amazon Prime.

Head of Marketing, Jo Sparrow, confirmed: “Amazon Prime seems a natural fit for Tractor Ted as we offer so much engaging and fun footage for little ones to enjoy and learn from. We are often being contacted by customers from around the world who are desperate to get their hands on our latest footage and maybe don’t have the means for easy access. Amazon Prime will open doors to both existing and new customers and, with 63 countries now connected from Canada to Fiji, this will be a fabulous launch platform to take Tractor Ted to the next level and into even more homes!”

Working alongside his real life farm friends – Farmer Tom, Les, Midge the dog and Merlin the pony – Tractor Ted will launch with 5 x 10 minute episodes making up Series One. Including favourites such as Moovie Time, Munchy Crunchy and Glorious Grass, children will be able to explore where carrots come from, how silage is made and much more!
